At Two Knives Catering, bread isn’t just a side dish–it’s a passion project. Owner Kristi has spent years perfecting the art of artisan baking and has attended world-renowned bread schools across the country, including the San Francisco Baking Institute, King Arthur Baking School, and the Bread Bakers Guild of America. Her dedication to the craft is reflected in every loaf, from golden crust to airy crumb.
One of the most beloved offerings is our Vermont Sourdough, made with a special starter Kristi received while training at a bread school in Vermont over six years ago. The leavening agent–now over 40 years old–was gifted to her during the course and brought back to Amarillo, where it’s become a cherished part of the kitchen. Fondly named Jeffrey after her instructor, the starter is fed twice daily and treated like a member of the family. It’s this attention to detail and care that gives our bread its rich flavor, crusty exterior, and signature tang. Whether served at a catered event or picked up to enjoy at home, our bread reflects the heart, humor, and hands-on artistry that define Two Knives Catering.
